水 「MIZU」is a spanish J-rock band formed in Barcelona in 2010 by Toni Torres, Iñaki Gil and Marta Ramos, which has done several lives on Spain and one live on France. According the guitarist and founder Toni Torres, the name of the band was chosen "because we are 90% water, and it's one of the five elements of the japanese philosophy. The kanji of water is one of the first kanji you learn either".

Their style and music are varied, always keeping certain flavour by the traditional japanese culture.

 

2011-2015

 

In 2011, Marta Ramos left the band, and many vocalist passed within the band that year: Yoshisuke Suga (Esprit D'air), Fátima Ayats, Kaede and Sei Sei. They participated in the Charity event SIGN FOR JAPAN with their song "As One", which has appeared 7 times on the japanese TV (Saitama channel) and the "Rock 4 Japan" live Apolo club. In 2012 they released a L'Arc~en~Ciel's tribute which was a cover of the song Blurry Eyes. That year was released their first album too, Kiseki, which was introduced on Japan Expo of París.

In 2013 Marta Ramos returns to the band, and a new member join in the keyboards, Gerard Miralpeix, but they left the band in 2014 and early 2015. Since then to the end of 2015, MIZU enlist with the collaboration of Mikel Castillo, Kilian Noise and Joan Novell.

 

Present

 

Nowadays, they have released their firs single, Jikan no Muda (Salón del Manga special edition), and have announced Jikan no Muda normal edition to november, and a new single for december.
